We are a registered charity with the Canada Revenue Agency since August 17, 2023. Forgotten Souls was started by a young business woman and a retired teacher who live in British Columbia, Canada. We live in a country of privilege. Mexico is overall an underprivileged country. People struggle. Animals suffer. We formed this Canadian non-profit to help people who cannot afford to spay/neuter/vaccinate their animals. We also wanted to decrease the number of homeless animals in Mexico who wander the streets suffering from disease, injury, abuse and starvation. It's an overwhelming problem but sitting back and doing nothing was not an option. We had our first sterilization clinic on May 28, 2023. By the end of 2023, we had completed 1,013 sterilizations. We hope you will join us on this journey of love and compassion for all beings as we head into 2024 with a vision for expanding our education outreach and providing free clinics in the most impoverished areas in Ensenada, Mexico
Neetu and Jane
We believe that the root of the overpopulation crisis of cats and dogs on the streets of Mexico is due to people not having the financial resources to sterilize their companion animals. To tackle the problem we conduct free and low-cost spay and neuter clinics each month.
